Neck & Back Center

Specialty Services

As chiropractors, our profession is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on your general health. Every individual undergoes a comprehensive case history and an examination to determine the etiology of the condition and the best course of treatment. Charleston Neck & Back Center offers a variety of specialized treatments that may be used individually or in combination with one another to reduce your pain and treat the underlying problem.

Spinal Adjustments

This technique consists of manual manipulation of the joints. This is a therapeutic and health-enhancing technique to correct joint hypo-mobility or lack of normal range of motion.

Sigma/ProAdjuster Adjustments

This is an alternative adjustment technique that uses a highly technical computerized method to analyze and gently treat the spine. The ProAdjuster administers a controlled percussive force to the affected areas. The treatment is consistent, measurable, and extremely gentle.

Soft Tissue Therapy Administered By the Doctor

We use myofascial release techniques: Graston Technique, Trigger Point Therapy, and Active Release Technique (ART) for soft tissue stabilization.

Progressive Rehabilitation

We use Physiotherapy to reduce pain and to improve strength and mobility. This includes ultrasound, electrical stimulation, intersegmental traction, and exercise therapy. Active rehabilitation is the key to restoring our patients to full function. During the course of treatment, we teach exercises for reactivation of muscle patterns, strengthening and spinal stability as well as movement strategies to help prevent recurrence of injury.

Neuromuscular Massage Therapy

Our Licensed Massage Therapists administer deep-tissue and trigger point massages. They are highly experienced in medical massage and work closely with our physicians to promote optimal results.
